About the event

Weekly classes - Thursdays 7-8:30pm

General Description: We will explore and contemplate theory and practices of the Eightfold Noble Path,

based on Gregory Kramer’s Whole Life Path:  (Kramer, 2020). Each week includes meditation, Dhamma

discussion and dyad/triad/quad/group contemplation. After each gathering material will be provided via email

as support for continued practice and further deepening of understanding.

Insight Dialogue Community.

Week One:

  • Overview of contemplative dialogue
  • Exploring the six tenets of the whole life path including:
  1. Ground in the Dhamma
  2. Engage All the Teachings as Practices
  3. Exclude No Moment, Experience, or Teaching
  4. Find Each Teaching in the Here and Now
  5. Let All the Teachings In Fully
  6. Engage the Teachings Individually, in Relationship, and Socially

Week Two - Nine: Path Factors. Inspire a deeper understanding of the Dhamma through exploration of suttas and practices.

Week Ten: Going forth, going well. Harvest of insights and continued practice supports

Registraton fee: $35 

This course is offered in the tradition of Dana.

Facilitated by Carolynn Barko

Carolynn is a Certified Mindfulness Teacher (CMT-P), Insight Dialogue Facilitator, Yoga Teacher, and more. In addition to  Buddhist meditation retreats and regular practice, she is completing her Master of Theology, Buddhist Studies, Emmanuel College, University of Toronto. Several teachers have influenced Carolynn's practice including Bill Knight, Matt Flickstein, and Bikkhu Analayo. She currently lives off-grid in Nova Scotia with her dogs.
